Researching complex physical processes across scales

My work connects the motion and interaction of individual particles with large-scale processes in rivers, soils and engineered systems.

Research

CFD, sediment transport, morphodynamics, turbulence, particle-laden flows, rheology, geomechanics and geothermal systems.

Publications

A searchable selection of journal articles and technical contributions, with a direct link to my full Google Scholar profile.

Projects

Research and software-development activities spanning particles, morphodynamics, complex fluids, numerical solvers and HPC.

Hobbies

Technical hobbies including 3D printing, CNC machines, electronics, programming and hands-on engineering projects.

Current perspective

I approach environmental and engineering problems through a combination of fundamental physics, computational modelling and robust scientific software. This makes it possible to move from process understanding to practical simulation tools.
